Reconstruction of Pine Creek Bridge No. 9 (Shaler, PA)

The Final structure is a 73'-6" span with a reinforced concrete deck on five steel plate girders with three steel plate kicker beams on caisson abutments. The structure has two travel lanes with varying width (12'-0" minimum), two 2'-0" shoulders, and one 5'-0" downstream sidewalk.  With a 1'-0"-wide concrete wall barrier on both sides of the bridge, the total minimum out-to-out bridge width will be 35'-0" along the tangent section.  Also constructed for this project were Soldier Pile and Lagging Walls and Wing Walls along Elfinwild Road.
