Alcosan Ash Pits

The original concrete pits used for storing incinerator ash, excess sludge from overloaded trucks, and other materials were open to the atmosphere. They gave off a foul odor and were an eyesore to the community. The new structural concrete pits installed by PCCI have motorized hatch covers to prevent odors from escaping to the atmosphere and enhance the plant's overall appearance.
